Thanksgiving
In the United States, we celebrate thanksgiving to give thanks for the pilgrims and the Native Americans that were there when we first arrived. We also give thanks for other things like our family and what is good in our life. The first thanksgiving was celebrated by the Pilgrims and the Indians. The Pilgrims arrived and didn't know anything about how to survive in America. The Indians helped them by teaching them how to grow crops, hunt and fish and stuff. I usually celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. I alternate years between my mom's side of the family and my dad's. Thanksgiving is also a time to be with family. I don't see my family a lot because they don't live near me. I like Thanksgiving because I see my cousins and family friends and there are many good times. The holidays are my favorite time of year because I get to see all of my friends and family.
